The Municipal Budget Office, as provided for in Section 475 of the Local Government Code of 1991, is mandated to provide the delivery of basic services relative to local budget administration including budget processes and policies, directions and priorities governing effective fiscal discipline, proper allocation and mobilization of available resources and effective management of public expenditures.


The Budget and Management Office shall be the premier economic and financial manager of Local Government Expenditures and Management Policies that is responsive and supportive of Local Development needs.  The Officer and Staff of the Budget and Management Office are one in their aspiration to be the premier economic and financial manager of LGU by leading and promoting judicious management of public resources.


    1. To develop a sound Budget and Management Services and to cultivate partnership with the Provincial Budget Office and Department of Budget and Management.


The Municipal Budget Office’s task involves major functions which constitutes its area of accountabilities, namely:

      1. Prepare Municipal Annual and Supplemental Budgets
      2. Review Barangay  Annual Budget
      3. Provide technical assistance to Barangay in budgeting
      4. Prepare Statement of Appropriation, Allotment and Obligation (SAAOB) quarterly
      5. Prepare Annual Investment Plan (AIP)
      6. Review supporting documents of vouchers
      7. Check balances of appropriations of different offices
      8. Act as custodian of all records and documents of the office and maintain a systematic record safe keeping
      9. Prepare purchase requests and obligation requests
      10. Take custody of all supplies and properties of the office
